Hydronic radiant floor heating is an extremely comfortable and efficient way to heat or cool a structure from the floor up. While this technology has been around for decades, radiant heating is becoming much more cost effective “up front”, with proven lower annual energy consumption costs over forced air systems, when designed and installed properly.
Homeowners, architects, and engineers are commonly specifying the installation of radiant floor heating to maximize comfort and efficiency in both residential and commercial applications. At Mazzella Construction, LLC, we utilize under slab insulation (1” or 2”+ of EPS Foam) products that have a built in vapor barrier and chairs for PEX tubing (the key component of hydronic heating). This allows significant labor savings during installation, and the highest possible performance once concrete is poured over top. We can complete the installation or sell under slab insulation products to homeowners or other contractors.
